Initial sketches for the NX Cubs included a very very flashy Redbull-esque design... Pretty cool! Also pretty expensive to upkeep.

I was asked by the coach of the Embry-Riddle Prescott campus' flight team, the Golden Eagles, to create a new paint scheme for their NX Cubs. The Golden Eagle flight team is one of the most successful NIFA teams in the nation, boasting 16 national championships and 39 regional championships, and they have even been inducted into the International Air & Space Hall of Fame at the San Diego Air & Space Museum.

As they are one of the best teams in the nation, we wanted to make a paint scheme that would stand out and also serve as a marketing tool for Embry-Riddle.

We went through several iterations and designs, working alongside Schemedesigners who adapted the final design for the wrap shop. Ultimately everything was far more simplified, but I am still thrilled with the final design, which should be coming off of the assembly line soon!
The final design was a simplification of the "Retro Eagle" design, as seen above. Pretty cool!
